Founders

Two Brothers from Northwest Arkansas

Brothers Bronson and Kolten Carpenter grew up in a blue-collar family in Northwest Arkansas. They built Drop Yard Storage to give drivers and fleets a safe, dependable place to park.

Bronson has more than a decade of experience in real estate and finance, including building and running storage businesses in Arkansas and Missouri.

Kolten oversees how our yards run day to day and works closely with the drivers and fleets who park with us.

Billy Witcofski

Billy Witcofski

Board Member, Construction

Billy founded Wilshar Steel and has more than 30 years in steel, construction and storage. Wilshar has designed and installed over 150 storage projects and recently ranked second in the country in tonnage. He and his team serve as general contractor on Drop Yard projects.

John Wright

John Wright

Board Member, Development

John spent 22 years at J.B. Hunt in transportation, logistics and real estate site selection, so he knows what a fleet needs from a yard. Since 2015 he has focused on real estate development, private lending and acquisitions, and he oversees development at Drop Yard.

Tom Hanna

Tom Hanna

Board Member, Site Selection

Tom is a graduate of the University of Denver's Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management. He started as a feasibility consultant on more than 100 storage developments, and his team has since developed over 500,000 square feet in Arkansas and Texas. He guides site selection at Drop Yard.

Hanna Elks Smith

Hanna Elks Smith

Director of Leasing and Acquisitions

Hanna leads leasing and acquisitions at Drop Yard. She finds new sites across the Southeast and Texas, fills them with tenants and works directly with owners and brokers from the first call through closing.

She grew up in South Florida and played tennis for a year at the U.S. Naval Academy before transferring to Duke University. While at Duke she interned in investment banking with the Financial Institutions Group at Wells Fargo, then chose to join Drop Yard after graduation. She brings the same discipline and competitive drive to every deal.
